Utilization

“Utilization is the act of using processes and resources for learning” (Seels & Richey, 1994, p. 46).

The Utilization domain includes three sub-domains: Media Utilization, Implementation & Institutionalization, and Policies & Regulations.

3.1 Media Utilization

Digitally Mediated Learning – Reflections

This document includes my reflections on selecting technologies appropriate for various learning situations. This fits under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to identify key factors in selecting and using technologies appropriate for learning situations specified in the instructional design process.

Edmodo Workshop

This workshop incorporated a slideshow presentation as well as an interactive experience using the Edmodo learning management system. This artifact fits under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to use educational communications and instructional technology resources in a variety of learning contexts.

3.2 Implementation and Institutionalization

The Veblen Effect – Presentation | Learning Aid Card

This presentation and learning aid card are two forms of instructional materials utilized during a lesson on the Veblen Effect. The presentation was used to facilitate a short lecture, class discussion, and activity; while the learning aid card was used to provide a quick reference guide for future use.

3.3 Policies and Regulations
