Management

“Management involves controlling Instructional Technology through planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising” (Seels & Richey, 1994, p. 49).

The Management domain includes four sub-domains: Project Management, Resource Management, Delivery System Management, and Information Management.

4.1 Project Management

Problem Solving Through Programming and Play – Project Site

This project site shows each stage of the project’s development, from the Analysis tasks through Evaluation. This artifact fits under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to apply project management techniques in a learning context.

4.2 Resource Management

Problem Solving Through Programming and Play – Volunteers

The Registration Survey on this page was used to collect data on the participants for each of the sessions to determine volunteer staffing needs for each workshop. This artifact fits under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to apply delivery system management techniques in a learning context.

4.3 Delivery System Management

The Core Ingredients of Beer – LMS Management

Utilizing the Versal learning management system, I was able to organize and manage this online course. This artifact fits under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to apply delivery system management techniques in a learning context.

How to Tune a Guitar by Ear – Website Management

Utilizing Adobe Spark, I was able to develop and manage the content for this asynchronous, online course. This artifact fits under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to apply delivery system management techniques in a learning context.

4.4 Information Management

Problem Solving Through Programming and Play – Instructional Materials

The content for this workshop was divided into multiple media, including a poster graphic organizer for the STAR Problem Solving Model, a real-world version of the ScratchJr. app programming language, ScratchJr. in-app activities, as well as handouts for the parents with information for follow-up problem solving activities. These artifacts fit under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to apply information management techniques in a learning context.

Edmodo Workshop – Handout

This document served as instructions for the interactive activity during the workshop. The instructions were chunked based on each task to be completed. This artifact fits under this sub-domain because it demonstrates my ability to apply information management techniques in a training context.
